About Clayton, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Clayton is an Ohio city located in portions of Montgomery and Miami counties. Approximately 13,200 residents call this community home, and it is situated about 18 miles northwest of downtown Dayton. The City of Clayton was established following a merger between Randolph Township and the Village of Clayton in 1999. The community is served by the Northmont City School District, and the school system has been classified as Excellent by the State of Ohio since 2002.
Despite Clayton’s modest size, there are a few notable things to see and do here. Residents who like to take advantage of a warm spring day might like to book a tee time at Moss Creek Golf Club, and other outdoor recreational space is available at Hardscarbble Park, Westbrook Park, and Northview Park. Visitors looking for day spa services might like to book an appointment at Madison Salon & Company or Destiny Aveda Salon Spa. Clayton is also home to several interesting restaurants, including OinkADoodleMoo, Bob Evans Farm Restaurant, and Taste.
The climate in Clayton varies with the seasons. The summer months tend to be hot and muggy, with average high temperatures in July reaching about 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Severe storms including tornadoes are also possible during these months and into the fall. Since the weather conditions can be so unpredictable, it is important that residents are ready for anything, and a reliable central air conditioning unit can be a good first step in ensuring that they stay safe during the summer months.
Winter weather can also be extreme in the Clayton area, although the season tends to be dry relative to other parts of the Midwest. On average, the area receives less than two feet of total snow accumulation, but temperatures only reach an average high of about 34 degrees in January. There are many days in which temperatures fail to reach the freezing point, and there are a few days each year that thermostat readings stay below zero. The right furnace can make all the difference in comfort level throughout the winter, so property owners will need to invest in a reliable and energy efficient unit in order to stay safe.
